    Help - Bulkhead leaking

I moved my 72 gallon aquarium today, putting in a new floor where it once sat. After reassembling everything one of the bulkheads is leaking. I can't get it to seal properly. Should I go buy a replacement or is there something I can do.

    Building a custom stand

I've got a 72 gallon bowfront tank. The current stand really only holds my sump. There's no room to store supplies or addition equipment under the tank. I'm thinking of building a new stand that would be bigger than the current tank. The tank is 48 in long and I'm thinking the stand will be...

    Changing substrate

Thanks LindaC I'll keep an eye on things after the swap. I'll definitely get back on track with the ferts. As far as a DYI CO2 system most that I've seen described are limited by the size of the tank. I haven't found on the will work on a 72 gallon tank. If you know of one I'd love to hear...

    Changing substrate

Thanks this is really what I wanted to hear. :) Well I'm sure the issue is that I have lots of light and should be dosing with CO2. I'm planning to set up a CO2 injection system but it's still a little out of my budget. I've got quite a few brazilian swords at first they seem to grow...

    Changing substrate

When I set my tank up a year ago I opted to cheap out on the substrate. I've got about two inches of sand with an inch of gravel. My plants started out doing OK but in the last few months they have started looking bad. I figure it's time to change the substrate. Right now I'm looking at...

    Ground cover

Thanks TankGirl. I made sure when I purchased the tank I bought enough light for 3 watts per gallon. So I guess I'll need to look into CO2 soon. Off check out your recommendations. :)

    Ground cover

I've been looking at all the pics in the galleries. I really like the tanks that have a nice thick green ground cover. Recently I've looking at Java Moss but I'm afraid it might get to tall for my liking. I want something that'll stay low but also climb up over my rocks and driftwood. Any...

Crack in tank - What to do?

Thanks for the replies everyone. I pretty decided to either have the pane replaced or get a new tank. The future home of this tank will be in between my two computer desks. So if the tank burst I loose several thousand dollars in equipment as well as the tank. Thanks again everyone.

Crack in tank - What to do?

How think should the patch be? Same thickness as the existing glass?

Crack in tank - What to do?

I've got a tank that I've had mothballed for a couple of years now. It's a 46 gallon corner tank. The tank is made up of five side panes of glass. The front pane has a small crack in the glass right at the bottom. The crack is less than an inch long and, as best as I can tell, hasn't made it...
