Funny, my girlfriend was also set on an ADF, took me forever to convince her not to get one. I've had bad luck with panda cories, I had 7 of them in my 29 and they were very shy, hiding all the time. I then lost all 7 of them over the course of 5 days. Probably just me though I've seen tons of...
That's kinda what i figured, thanks for the help guys. I'm gonna do something like this,

I'm going to ask my LFS to make sure they can take back the pictus just in case...
Can you do all redtails? Everything I've read says they should be kept alone. I guess its like cichlids where you add them all at once so they cant set up a territory?
I use a small LFS in downtown Vancouver, I wonder if they ever bring in large amounts of red tailed sharks.
I'm on point with my water changes, and poop bothers me less than algae and uneaten food at the bottom, but I'm on a bit of a pictus bender right now. I'm thinking something like
5 pictus
10ish tiger barbs
And maybe a red tailed shark? Still worried about aggression, but I'm liking how this...
Anyone keep picture cats in a 55? Found recommended tank sizes online varying from 30gal all the way up to 75gal. I would have to find something other than barbs, seems like the barbels would be easy targets. They do look really cool but I've been reading stories online about RTS bullying them...
I do really like tiger barbs, I saw a video of a big school of them in a planted tank and they looked awesome. Might mix some green tiger barbs in there for variety? I think they're the same species.
Any ideas about the pleco? None of my usual scavenging clean up crew will work. Plus my gf had...
Hi guys,
I've been thinking about picking up a new 55 gal tank, and I've spent all day researching different stocking ideas. I'd really like to do something a little different from the usual dwarf cichlid/schooling fish/bottom feeder set up. I've been looking a lot at red tailed sharks and I...
I know brooks has experience with apisto's that's why I'm worried!
Either way I'm going to keep him, I love the personality and my girlfriend has already named him

Yeah he/she is barely bigger than my tetras, I'm trying to get a better picture of him, but he's not co-operating. If he was a "sneaker" male, would he recover in a tank with no males?

Newest addition to my 29g planted, currently being housed with some panda corys and tetras. I'm working on getting him a lady fish as well. Any advice on getting him to color in?

So I added the limnophila, really fills in that space, I also added my cave (which my cories LOVE) and some black neon tetras to fill in the top half of the tank.
I think it's coming along nicely, can't wait for it to grow in! Comments? Suggestions?

I really like the look of that, I'll take a look at my lfs tomorrow. I just wonder if I'm considered medium light? I've got the fluval 29 tall led starter light.
There's also a lean-to style cave going in on the left hand side for some apisto. C. when they come in sometime next month. The whole...
Hi guys,
After reading some articles online about the rule of thirds I took a stab at rescaping my tank, and I'm pretty happy with what I came up with. Take a look and tell me what you think!
Love my nerite snail posing on the rock :)
