Okay. Whew! (for now). He knocked himself dizzy, I think, but he appears to have recovered. He went from not swimming to moving around normally in about five minutes. I'll keep an eye over the next few days but at least it's looking better. :)

Yes, I'd say mine, too, school and then carry on on their own, school, break away, etc. It'd be good to give some thought to the questions asked about how many you have and, as Coyne says, how long they've been in the tank.

How many danios do you have? They like to be in schools of at least 6. If you have less than that, I'd recommend you up that number.

If you know that they are appropriate for your aquarium, I usually brush them off and then rinse then in very hot water. You can use boiling water on them too. Just don't boil the rocks themselves...

I still feel you're just in mid-cycle. It can take a while. Our fish-in cycle took nearly 6 weeks. My advice, still, is to wait it out and let the ammonia come down and then the nitrites to come up. Don't vacuum or really over do it on the water changes. How many fish do you have in there...
