I have this gritty slime tube growing on my lps coral. It comes from the rock and has killed a torch coral. If I see it in time and I move the coral to another location the coral gets better and will recover. I attached some pictures. Any help is appreciated.
I have a similar problem with my zoas. My tank is a 5 weeks old. All the numbers are normal. The only strange thing is that I started to have a diatom bloom. Zoas won't open. Tried to increase flow, decrease light. Not sure what to do. There are a few that open but the rest nothing.
1) how high should I set Steve's led's in a biocube? I have a frogspawn and Zoa in the tank at the bottom.
2) I have a skimmer in chamber 2 how do prevent the cup from flooding when I turn the pumps off to feed?
I started a new build with packaged water, cured live rock, and live sand. I waited 5 days and I never had an ammonia spike. I added a raw shrimp. It spiked for 2 days and then quickly dropped back to 0. Uts stayed for 4 days. Is it cycled? Should I wait longer? Any advice would be appreciated.
