well running my tank however makes me happy happens to work rather well i’d think since i’ve had 0 “deaths by ignorance.” i’m not just throwing tap water in, treating it once, and throwing flakes in and forget. i do have a good conscience for my fish you know

okay well one i’m not new i have an idea what i’m doing two i’ve already put it in the filter and find that these things are noticeable to my nose and eyes. you definitely don’t need 50% per week you’re crazy

need some water clarity and getting rid of that tank smell/removing any phenols or tannins. no need for meds thankfully :)

Been searching forever, just would like to know: does one need to put carbon in the filter or could you also get away with a mesh bag full of it directly in the water column, such as placed over the water return output? i feel like it’d probably be fine since it’s off the ground not getting...

started it out in a 125 with a golden dojo loach (9”), bgk (~7-8”), and a lima shovelnose (7”). will be moving the aro to something bigger soon don’t worry it will get the proper space. pretty quiet tank but it’s got a few oddballs

yess they’re amazing they can move like any direction so cool to watch them move. i have one about 7” but my lfs has two or three giants! i’d love to snag one but it probably won’t play well with the other :/
