Thank you I will for sure. After everything levels out and stays good I want to add a few more fish in like 3-4 weeks after that point. It had angel fish in when I got it, but unfortunately they died pretty quick. I'm hoping once where things are where they are supposed to that I can get another...

I finally have some nitrites! Now, hopefully they convert to nitrates and everything levels out where it needs to be without anymore problems. I was so happy to wake up to that lol

I'll have to order a bottle online. I've been using stability 5 days now and still have no nitrites or nitrates whatsoever. I believe it says to use it 7 days on the bottle. I thought I'd have a little something by now. Maybe tomorrow...

Thank you so much for explaining things :) I'll look into something like that tetra water conditioning stuff next time I hit up the store. I really only have walmart close by and the only pet stores are petsmart and petco, which requires an hour of driving.

Also, the ammonia alert thingy reads yellow the 0.02 or lower. the API is the one that reads 2.0

I have no idea why it's like that. I have no idea what hte other pple did or didn't do. my guess is they never cycled it at all? I have the same filter that came with it. So, Ive been doing water changes, monitoring, and adding the above items. I'm guessing it's just a waiting game now?
