So I have a 35-40 gallon trash can that I bought from home depot to mix my saltwater. But my pump and around the container has turned white. There's a lot of white stuff all over the pump, walls and bottom of container. Any ideas? Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Aquarium Advice mobile app

I dont dont like coraline any where on my tank besides my rocks.. I remove it from the back sides overflow and anywhere else on my acrylic tank. I like the clean look.

thanks. I was thinking where along those lines. now the question is.. should I remove this out just let it be? also..how does this get introduced into aquariums? this tank has been running little over year and never seen any signs of it.

get a refractometer... this will tell you the salt level in your aquarium and your salt level in your salt water mix for your water change. if your salt level is good in your aquarium just mix your water change water at the same level and you will be fine. there is instructions on the salt...

I know you tested your water and its was good but I suggest you post your parameters...and some tank info..

should be fine as long as they look healthy. thats only a temporary home for them while they get sold. almost all fish I see at fish stores are in way smaller tanks then they should be.
