How do I stop :uzi:corline alge from growing all down the front of my tank? The tank is not glass so I don't want to ues a blade on it. The tank is a 150 reef and the alge is starting at the 2 foot down mark, hard to get to:silly:
To ansure your question "Do they make them that big" Yes. I have 1 1/2 " lines and put see thru check valves in to stop back flow, also have holes just below the water line as a back up to a stuck check valve. Look at Aquatic Eco-Systems web site for the valves.
I'm wondering if one can keep Brittle/Serpent stars with clams. I know starfish will eat clams. Are there any reasons I can't put clams in with serpent stars?
Thanks for the info I would guess my flow rate must be 1200 to 1400 total. I was told if you split the 1.5 output of the AM3k into 1" lines you'd lost 40% but I think the loss is more like 20% do to the "T" in the line.

I have 2 as returns on my 150. There great very quite, But will heat up the tank if you put them in the sump. Even out side of the water there heaters.
I have a 150 with 2 overflows and run 2 Quite one 4000HH pumps. I like running 2 pumps the lines are split by a ball valve incase one of the pumps dies. The flow rating is something like 1400gph I think
Here is what I have 150 gal reef with 2x 1" overflows a 30 gal sump. In this sump are 2x the new type 4000HH Quite one pumps. I'm pumping to 5' with each pump going to one side, I do have all pipe hooked together with a ball valve incase of one of the pumps dies. I think total flow is about 1200...
