    African Crossbreeding Fears

    From my experience, unless you're TRYING to raise fry, you generally lose most of them very quickly. But cross breeding is basically unavoidable in a community style cichlid tank. If you really don't want fry, put a Venustus in there. They LOVE to eat babies....

    Mbuna vs Peacocks

    I keep both as well. I keep the tank relatively crowded, and it reduces the agression levels quite a bit. I've never had fighting problems between the Mbuna and Peacocks in my tanks, which is more than I can say for intraspecific competition!
