My sps are doing great I thought I might have been too much light so I put the favia under a cave kinda protecting it from the light. So idk I'm dumbfounded with this. I just read somewhere that it could be my tangs nipping at it, iv never seen it but who knows

And I have two 48 inch current LEDs whites at 50% and blues at 85% My tank is 48 inches long and has 18 inches of water depth with the lights 1 inch above the water

I'm not sure if the ammonia is detectable or not when I test and am unsure I just say the reading is higher than I think. If I have ammonia it's close to none

So I have a mixed reef with a sps (acros, monti's, milli's), lps(candy,frogspawn, acan, chalice, acan bowerblonki, favia, gonastria), lots of polyps zoanthids and such and some Xenia I can't seem to eradicate. My problem is for some reason my brain corals(favia, gonastria) deteriorate slowly and...

I didn't have any problems with them escaping but that's just me. However like he ^ just mentioned they will move all your rock work arround

I had a Bimac octopus for a year and a half in my 55 gallon it was the coolest pet I have ever owned by far and I have had some pretty cool stuff. They have such an interesting personality and are extremely intelligent. If I were your friend I would not second guess getting them. Just do it...

Just curious if sps corals or even lps or zoanthids will eat brine shrimp hatchlings?

Hey man I have the same kind of favia do you know what kind it is? And also where do you have it placed in the tank? I have other Lps and Sps in the tank that are flourishing but this favia doesn't seem to do much definatly not growing and maybe even a little sick colors are still vibrant but...
