We just purchased a 55 gallon tank that we want to set up as a saltwater tank. We have been told that we need at least 55lbs of live rock in it. They said we could start off with less and add more as we go. What would be the minimum we should start off with?

I don't have a bunch of plants just about 3 I think. But I currently only have 4 fish and we have a 20 gal tank. Could this cause them to be low?

We did a 50% water change about 2 weeks ago. I will retest tonight. It was the first time I have tested so maybe I did the test wrong?

How long after the treatment should we wait to put the filter back in and how often should we be doing water changes? We lost another one of our fish last night and its been more than a week since we did the treatment. Any ideas on what we should do?
