Will this pipe layout work for a 120 gal aquarium?
Red 1" Open Channel
Yellow 3/4 " full siphon
Black 3/4" return to tank

Using a Sicci 4 40 gal Sump
There is a dam that came with...
Do you use a fuge with some macro algae .I am think of phosphates here like LR leaching . A good CUC would be very useful too.
Instead of doing water changes forever, find out the cause and fix it. JMTC
Hello Guys
My BA is being made with a dual corner overflow system. I want to put my skimmer on the right side of my cabinet where I think traditionally the return is placed . Into this chamber, I want to run the open channel and full siphon drain.
inside the left chamber, I want to have the...
If over the wall is the intended direction of skimmer discharge, I would like to know why my skimmer chamber is 17inches tall while my skimmer level is 10 inches. Why add all of that unsightly pipe running over the baffle with a lower baffle... OH .I know. Eshopps and Coralvue must be in kahoots...
I purchased a 75 gal off of CL a few months ago and have found the bulkhead is siliconed on. I cant twist it off. Anybody have other Ideas besides throwing the tank away. Would surly appreciate it.
Thanks
Actually this was a conversation between myself and another poster in RC. I was maintaining exactly as you have said to the T. I mean it's physics right?. I suppose he has never heard of gravity flow or Total dynamic pressure. His stand was that the discharge pipe needs to be above sump water...
I have been in a discussion on how to move the water leaving the skimmer to the next chamber.
My sump is 16' and all the baffles are 16' with the exception to the one before the last baffle in front of the return.
I have a reef Octopus nwb 150 and the pecks cll for a water level of 8-10" on...
I didn't know so that is why I posed the question I have read in RC on a Sticky that it should. This guy was talking Everything including LR,LS, CUC, Coral and fish. The CUC seems overboard to me.
Have you ever used flakes or a piece of nori to feed the CUC before algae is established?
With that little space you really don't have room for the fuge. I would just do a sump,or cut a hole in the side to pass the 20 through if you need to, Other stuff takes up room in the sump too you know. 2 tank sump/fuge is asking for trouble.
