    aim some house and trailers can't take a lot of weight on them if you put it the wrong way with the joist you will no support under the tank as for 12-13 LBS where did you get that number are you an engineer .

    If you are in to things getting eatten and that kind of stuff I think cichlid is a better .More fun to watch and not quite as messy.

    I'd go with the cats or the Plecko. Red tail shark can work .In fact, the 29 gal I gave to a friend has ; 1 Angel 2 silver dollars 1 red tail shark They are getting a bit big for that tank,But they get along for the most part .

    I feed my cichlids flakes and try to feed them a little bit at a time . Just enough that they can eat them all before it hits the bottom of the tank. I find there is less mess this way . About 3 or 4 small feeding and twice a day and blood worms on tues and thurs. thats how I've been doing it ...

    what's in your tank?

    just added a wild red jewel cichlid to the 55 gal did not think she would work ,but she is doing very well and I'm pleased to have that color contrast . I mean the terror and jack are great but the jewel brings in the color i think the tank needed . 2 oscars and 2 terror in a 125 it could work...

    Using table salt in tanks

    I've also used dr wellfish works good . As for thr instant ocean I'd steer clear it has minerals added for salt water tanks and is not the same. You could if you want ,but I wouldn't .

    have the fish been flashing at all . My firemouth just died and it was kinda the same way . I seen the fish flashing one day turned out to be a parasite . everythings good now and sorry to hear about your loss.

    I vote sponge also , bred guppies and thats what I used with no gravel in the tank for easy cleaning. :mrgreen:
