    Pond snails. They can quickly over populate if you over feed. Some people like them and keep them around. I personally don't like them. J

    What is your pH? If your pH is too low it can stop the nitrification process. Thus causing mini cycles. Jon

    Don't forget as fish grow their bio load increases. Bigger fish = bigger poop to deal with. Your BB populate to the bioload of the tank. You could just be experiencing the bb catching up with fish growth. Jon

    AQUAGLO are made by HAGEN. The better spectrum of light from HAGEN is the LIFEGLO bulb at 6700k. The AQUAGLO give quite a pink hue to the tank. Jon

    The blue background I used to have also reverses with black. I've been quite liking the no background lately. Once Xmas is here and I get my root tabs and Co2 refills I might see how much better everything grows then contemplate a background. Jon
