Well it turns out that the dealer was ok. Only problem is they've discontinued the Tek fixtures!!! I don't think you can buy them anymore for whatever reason. I was really looking forward to a quality fixture for 250$. ATI sounds ok but the price is up there. 400$ a piece!

Ok. Thanks for the info. Any other suggestions? Its looking like 340$ for the 36" 4x39w aquatic life fixtures... Would it be wise to go ahead and spend the extra 60$ a fixture on the 400$ ATI fixtures? I just want a quality product that I can use for years to come...

So I just looked up ATI dim marble fixtures and WOW, really impressive! I'm seriously almost sold on it. Still trying to justify the price over other fixtures but definitely impressed! If I got the four bulb fixture I could use less intensity and get a better coverage yeah? I'm going to read...

I watched a few reviews on the aquatic life fixtures last night. They seem to be of good quality. I may end up going that route. Haven't seen anything about the ATI dimming fixture. I may have to google that and do some research.

That's another thing. My tank is an aqueon so it has. Two supports in the middle. Maybe I should go with 3 24" fixtures?

If you were going to set up a heavily planted 125 gallon aquarium what kind of lighting would you choose? Im looking for advice on fixtures bulbs ect... I'm kind of leaning towards T5HO but LED lighting is sounding really appealing. Which way would you choose?

Ok this may be a dumb question, so please forgive my ignorance, but what is PAR? I kinda understand I need lighting close to 6500K and wattage and all that but whats PAR? :confused:
