The tank is a 45 gallon and there are only 2 clown fish in the tank and they are fine

Laying between live rocks

Acclimated it in a bucket for 1 hr dripped the water in and it has not eaten yet

Just brought a Coral Beauty home 2 days ago and it has been laying on its side for most the time. Found it under a rock this morning. Still swims around now and then. Salinity is 1.022, Nitrate 0ppm, Nitrite 0ppm, PH 8.4. Is there any things I can do to help it.

Get rid of the HOB filter? Just a skimmer

I have a 45 gallon fish only, for now. I have a penguin Bio-wheel 350 filter on it now and 35 lbs of live rock and 40 lbs of live sand, no skimmer yet. Was thinking of putting a HOB refugium instead of the filter. Which would work better? Or should I keep both?

Just started my first saltwater tank (45gallons) and I wanted to know if a HOB filter is necessary and is it beneficial to a saltwater tank? I have the live sand and rock and protein skimmer. I also have a UV sterilizer? Taking my time and want to do this right
