i have a rack with 3x 3ft tanks and a 3ft sump aswell. instead of drilling the tanks could i run some type of pvc overflow instead ? heres a pic of the rack and tanks. not my pic but all is the same
alot of the eggs have gone white . they were due to hatch tomorrow at some point but there still a few that are fertilized. we will see how it goes but i think they may be all gone by tonight
ok angels are spawning right this minute . so maybe this time i will use a cone guard to stop them eating the eggs again. we will see how it goes this is there 3rd spawn now.
if you have bigger fish in your main tank youll ned to grow the fry on for 3-5 months maybe longer before you move them otherwise they will get eaten. really youll need a seperate tank for the fry like a 40 or a 55 gallon or even a 20 gallon to get you going
yeah same concept. but by useing a egg tumbler youll get more eggs from the same female sooner. thats why most breeders use them and myself. if you want to keep all the fry your females produce youll need alot of tank space .

even if they are a breeding pair. do you know that they are male and female as 2 females will spawn together. its alot of work raising discus up . alot of water changes and feedings. i do 3-4 feeds a day and i do the same amount of water changes everyday and you have to monitor the water...
ye4ah the diascus fry usually feed on the sides of the parents for around 2-3 weeks before they can take other food. raising them without the parents aint no easy task. thats why discus are expensive or one of the reasons why they are anyway. discus make great parents but need to be on there own...
egg tumblers work great if you want to strip the female and hatch the eggs yourself. as im a hobbyist breeder but breed alot of african peacocks 6 diffrent types and frontosas i use egg tumblers all the time. as i strip the females after 3 days of them holding then i only have to wait another...
doesnt matter if you want to breed them if they want to they will . but they only really are aggressive when they are alot bigger then the other fish . if the angels are big they will try and eat tetras and fish of that size
do you have a spare tank ? if you do when she is holding the eggs put her in the spare tank until she spits the fry out usually at about 21 days. then put the female back into main aquarium.
