    Betta seeing reflection

I hope he isn't a diva ;) but he's so cute I could understand if he is! Thank you :) Katanas - because swords are awesome! (Even swordtails!)

    Betta seeing reflection

Hey guys, I need some advice. I have a betta who can see his reflection on the back panel of his aquarium. I put a white piece of paper there, moved the tank, and even changed how the lights shine in the tank but I can't seem to stop him from seeing his reflection. I did just get him...

    Betta floating/sinking

I've had success in the past using thawed frozen peas. Some put a little Epsom salt in the tanks too and said that helps. Usually fasting and a pea help me :) Katanas - because swords are awesome! (Even swordtails!)

    Betta floating/sinking

He is doing about the same. Swimming much better but still listing occasionally. He hasn't sank in days, so he is able to stay out of the cup now for three or four days (I still check on him often!) Bad news is my heater broke so I need to get him a new one. I'll probably get a five to ten...

    Betta floating/sinking

He is in a bare bottom tank, but the good news is he did pass some poo the other day! He is still floating a little, so I'm still feeding him every three days or so and treating him with metroplex. Thanks for your suggestion :) Katanas - because swords are awesome! (Even swordtails!)

    Very sick molly, please help!

I don't know if this is the reason, but maybe he isn't getting enough air? He could be turning colors because he is sick, but the gasping and sulking around might be lack of air. I had some catfish do that to me. When I put a bubbler in the tank it helped a lot. Maybe try lowering the water...

    Betta floating/sinking

I got this betta free from petsmart because he was swimming on his side. I figured it was swim bladder. Well a week of fasting a peas didn't help him at all, so a betta group told me to treat him with kanaplex in case it was bacterial. Well he went through a week of that and still is swimming...

New Goldfish is acting lethargic - help???

Goldfish are so cute and funny :) As for your little guy, how often are you doing water changes? Goldfish produce a lot of waste (because they become such big fish!) and with the tank uncycled it would help to do a partial water change daily. I hope that's all it is. He might be lonely too...

    Fish TB: tank salvageable?

Thank you so much :) I do appreciate the help. So glad I don't have to trash the tank and equipment Katanas - because swords are awesome! (Even swordtails!)

    Betta swimming in her side

Thanks! I'll have to try that :) I did feed her some pea yesterday and she ate it. Fed her some more pea today and she ate it but now she is sinking, so I put her in her cup with low water so she can get to the surface easier. I have the cup floating in her tank so her water will stay warm. No...

    Molly acting weird

I'm not an expert but the salt might help him out. I had my mollies in brackish water and they loved it. I hear pet mollies don't need brackish water but mine appreciated it, so I'm sure the salt will help your little fish. I hope someone can help you further. Mollies are such adorable fish...

    Fish TB: tank salvageable?

I know my heater can get water above 90, but that's it. I could dump loads of salt in it and let it run. Then when I move the tank in a month or so, I could air it out in the sun after a bleach cleaning Katanas - because swords are awesome! (Even swordtails!)

    Betta swimming in her side

I read one article quickly (I'm running errands right now) and it said whirling disease makes them appear chase their tail and such. She just sort of floats sideways and swims that way (one side or the other) Katanas - because swords are awesome! (Even swordtails!)

    Fish TB: tank salvageable?

I've read on their forums where people have suggested boiling decor and such, or washing them all in dishwashers on high heat. So I would think that might help the driftwood. So if I super salt the tank and turn the temperature up as high as my heater can get it (which is surprisingly high!)...
