What about harlequin rasboras?

I'm not too fond of neon tetras. I find they're a bit overdone. Any other good schooling fish I could stock in place of them? I do love the idea of kuhli loaches or panda corys, though! I also had a clown pleco in mind too ((perhaps in place of the loaches/corys))...but I'm a bit on the fence...

Hey everyone, I just recently got my hands on a 20 gallon tank! I'm in the process of cycling it, but in the meantime, I'm trying to figure out what I want to put in it. It'll be a planted tank, possibly dirted, with a sand bottom. I'll be moving my male betta over as well. I'd love to hear...

How many guppies would you say I could do in this tank? Would 4 be okay?

I read somewhere that Celestials tend to be pricey, though. Like 6 or 7 dollars a fish....and yeah, they're like 7.99 on Live Aquaria. So, I may end up going with something else yet. Maybe neons.

Not poor advice at all! You told me to double check with an expert, cause you weren't sure. Always better to be safe than sorry, right? : )

Oh! They have Galaxy Rasboras listed there. Pretty sure they are the same thing as a Celestial Pearl...that or they look just like them. o:

I do like neons and cardinals, but I thought they got bigger than 1.5 in.

What are a few that you would recommend that are pretty common?

Live Aquaria's page for them say that 10g is okay for a minimum tank size. Is their info trustworthy? I was looking at their fish for ideas.

I'm not sure yet. Still looking. Celestial Pearl Danios look really nice! I'm not sure if my stores have them or not, though. I only have 2 pet stores in my area, so I'm kind of limited to what I can get.

I originally had 5 otos, but 3 of them died shortly after getting them. I had a hard time finding them, but if I can manage to find some more, I'll definitely get another. I know they like small groups.

I have a 10 gallon tank with 1 dwarf gourami, 2 otocinclus catfish, and 6 amano shrimp, and I was wondering if I could get away with adding anything else. Any suggestions if I can?
