in quite the predicament
i have one 55 gallon freshwater community tank with a 30-60 aquatech filter, 200 watt heater, 2 6 inch airstones, and one 48" light
the substrate is mostly mixed pebbles and about an eigth of the tank is semi seperated black aquarium sand
the inhabitants include
3 dojo loaches
2 bala sharks
2 harlequin rasboras
4 guppies
1 green glo danio
2 serpae tetras
3 red columbian tetras
2 black skirt tetras
i recently (5/16/14)bought this tank from someone fully stocked (i realise now some of the mistakes ive made, but i didn't know any better at the time) i had to empty the tank to move it and did a full water change. i got the tank up and let it run for about two hours before adding fish, and they all survived. i have been doing 25-35% water changes every day or so after testing ammonia levels. i have also added driftwood and a few aquatic plants hoping they would help with cycling. none of my fish are behaving distress
