Lol I always switch those two... Dropsy is a swim bladder malfunction, caused by a wide variety of bacterial viral or parasitic infections, The swim bladder gets huge and gives the fish a bloated appearance, I think its caused by liver or kidney damage but not sure, and in late stages the fishes...

Every one of my guppy females still eats while giving birth, both the fry and the flake I feed to (futilely) try to distract them from the babies I'm frantically trying to save... I'm afraid the hormone or whatever that is supposed to prevent the momma fish from being hungry for a while before...

You just have a larger bio load than your current colony of beneficial bacteria can consume, they will multiply to equal the supply of food, just give it a bit of time :)

Oh duh I should have realised it wouldn't hurt the plants, I bought plants with a lead weight... lol. The rocks probably look better than the lead tho :)

I got omega one tropical flakes and found a bone shard in it:eek: And when I blended some with water for my fry a bunch of tiny bone pieces settled to the bottom...There are also chunks, some the size of half a pea that nobody can eat and I have to scoop out... I don't know if I just got a bad...

Is it like a fungus? I read that's a pretty common problem with eggs, some people treat with anti fungal meds to protect them... But somebody else speak up here, this is just something I read in passing, so wait till you get better advice before following mine lol.

Now somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard that having green water is actually good for your fish? I kindof want to grow some in a little tank to try to raise baby ghost shrimp lol.

Nice, great to see the nitrites drop so quick. I just assumed you'd done a water change since your nitrates went from 80 to 10, maybe a testing error? Did you shake the #2 bottle long enough?
