Ok from what I read the hermits do have some use , however it looks like they will eat snails in the aquarium if I have them also. It also looks like this is unavoidable even if I have empty shells available. Is this correct? So my question is , why do most of the cleaner packs have hermits...

yup , I have a 20 gal quarantine tank I set up right along with this one, we have a small utility room thats hardly ever used so it is a great place to start new fish or , if I ever, (hope not) have a sick fish.

Ok what about the spotted cardinal fish? All the information I read indicates they are peaceful , I think they are very unusual looking. I read another post that says they are "boring" however if it hangs out and doesnt hide that doesnt seem boring to me. Anyone have one of these fish?
