ok thanks everyone! we already have a betta with guppies and so far haven't had much luck.... the guppies seem to be having chunks taken out of their fins so we've separated them. Looking for a new home for him at the mo! Just wanted to know what other people have experienced!!! Thank u x

We only named the very first 2 fish we put in.... 2 platys called Peter and Paul. We eventually found out that Paul was actually a 'Paula' cuz Pete got her pregnant!!!

yeah we've always used the test strips..... will get a liquid testing kit then. Thanks very much for your advice. Will hopefully have some swordtail babies soon but won't be rushing them into the nursery tank until it's 100% ready!!!

yes we rinsed the gravel before putting it in the tank. not sure if that's the same here with the aqua safe.... but we've always been told by places we've brought fish from and from friends that have an aquarium to use it.... plus our big tank has been fine- it's just this small one we're having...
