Entire forum section contains "centered" text, why

I just got my computer back from being repaired and I logged onto Aquarium Advice only to find that the entire forum section has centered text. In the category sections, in the thread titles, and the posts themselves. I thought it was just my browser, but I can't seem to adjust anything...

    Can I add anything else?

I want to add more life my tank. Here's the specs: I currently have my 37G Tall (29"x12.5"x25") w/crushed coral sand substrate, and 25lbs of lace rock, stocked with: 1 - 3" Tetradon Nigrividis (Green Spotted Puffer) 1 - 7" Congrogadus Subducens (Green Wolf Eel) Bio-load seems pretty hefty at...

    Lunar Lights

You can easily make your own but... I wanted a lunar phase controller to give an even more extreme touch to my brackish biotope; I went with a Moonlight w/Lunar Controller from Fishbowl Innovations. I LOVE THIER PRODUCTS! It's just not natural to have a full moon all the time.

    Brackish Conditions

Brackish is actually salinity between 1.001-1.016SG. 1.017SG can be typical for FOWLR SW tanks so I consider that the cut-off. Again, spoon measurements are wildly innacurate because once the salt is exposed to the atmosphere it absorbs moisture and expands.

    aquarium safe spray paint??

A friend of mine uses Krylon Fusion. The chemical reaction remains inert. If he uses it in his nano-reef tanks w/o any issues you will definetly be ok using it in a FW/BW tank.

    Brackish Conditions

The teaspoon method is wildly inaccurate. You need a hydrometer to give you a decent SG reading and a refractometer to get an accurate measurement. But like fishyfanatic stated, marine salt is used for brackish tanks not aquarium salt.

How much current for a GSP tank?

Your reply was extremely helpful, thank you so much! I'll use that logic when figuring out my setup.

How much current for a GSP tank?

Since my salinity is almost full marine and I don't have any inverts I hope this is the right forum for this question. My GSP(Green Spotted Puffer) constantly swims in the current of my Aquaclear300 HOB Filter, I also have sediment settling on the rocks. I'm thinking this means I should buy...

    "Ahgoo" the Green Wolf Eel

Do you remember how many questions I asked you about when my bio-spira bombed on my first tank? HAHA! Keep the questions coming. :D 6" Puffer that can expand to 2x it's normal size if attacked should be ok. I'll have to monitor them constantly just in case. If the eel gets too big too...

    "Ahgoo" the Green Wolf Eel

Thanks. He will reach an adult size of 18" and about the diameter of a bicycle tire. The puffer is only 3" in length, still a juvenille. Acceptable for full marine, but I wont be going any higher till she's larger. She's actually showing improvement since raising the SG. If you guys are...

    "Ahgoo" the Green Wolf Eel

For about 4 months now I've had my eye on obtaining a Green Wolf Eel but I had to wait for my brackish tank to be at a high enough salinity to safely pull it off. Not to mention that his Green Spotted Puffer tankmate was still a tad on the small side, here's the pics: We decided to let our...

How frequently should I feed my Green Wolf Eel?

Hi everyone, I just bought a Green Wolf Eel(Congrogadus subducens) yesterday and I was wondering how often I should feed it? The GWE is a 6-7" Male and about the diameter of a 1/2" PVC pipe. Last night I fed him a whole piece of krill which he strugged to get down because of the shape. I'm...

    Lighting: Simulating Daylight Cycle?

czcz, I love your idea of using incandescent lighting before mixing with the main lighting, that rules! I think I'm going to put that idea of yours to work. Thank you. I'm going to setup my lighting fixutres first and then decide what would be the best plan of action. My canopy is all...

    Lighting: Simulating Daylight Cycle?

I've been playing with the idea of cycling through several different color temp bulbs over the course of a 12hr photoperiod to simulate a daylight cycle. Obviously the sun doesn't flicker on in the morning, hold the same Kelvin Temp and then just turn off at night. I'd like to simulate a...
