    Ok. Ill look at 100gpd units. We wont know if we need a pump tii we know tap psi. Ill go research 100 gpd units. Any brands to look at/stay away from. Any problems with cheap / leaky fittings?

    Thanks mfdrook...! I wonder if a small marineland 3in1 pump/powerhead would work? That is a cheaper option, if it would work. Im unsure of psi from tap. We will test it.

    Ok. How long does it take a 50gpd unit to produce 50 gallons?....24hours? Schism, how many waste gallons does your unit produce? I like 0tds out of box!

    Thanks for replying. I want a 4 stage, so its gonna end up being a 50 gpd unit. I knew they had drain lines, but had no idea we were looking at that much waste. I plan to buy a tds meter, so built in is nothing I need.

    Good! Im a little ocd with my 3tanks. Ill keep an eye on him and keep his water clean. He seemed a little stunned at first, but ok now. I saw silver scales on tank bed and missing scales on his sides....I flipped a little. Thanks again!

    THANKS for replying! Thats what im hoping. Theres no red or open wound. Its really strange. I love these big guys too. They are the mist peaceful fish out of all 3 tanks we have; they are a little jumpy with sudden movements. Ill keep the water clean and keep a close eye on it.
