Agree do about 10% every 1 our 2 weeks. I have messy eating predator tank. My water stays great.

To me aggressive means they will pick on other fish just for the fact they can, they pick on fish for territory or because he does not want the competition. If I have a full grown lion toss a small clown in my tank. The lion eating it is not aggression. Its,just eatting dinner.

Ocne again not lionfishes fault. Lions are brought here by people. They are just trying to live. They did not swim here to mess with the echo system. So I see no aggression there.

He is no problems. Just seeing if anyone else has seen or heard of a lionfish eating flakes

I have had lionfish for years. I got a new v. Lionfish. He is very small. I got him to eat frozen no problem. The funny thing if he also has been eating flakes. I have never seen this. Anyone else? He is eating ever other day and growing fast as v lions do. So he should not be starving.

Lions are my fav. Very hardy. A good starter fish. If that can't eat another fish in one bit they will not mess with it. So a small lion likea fu manchu (sorry of spelled wrong). Is a very compatible pred.

I use marine coolers. Wider then buckets. Also very good insulation. Add a aerator if moving to far.

Is 2 1400's to much for a 110 tall. I have one right now looking to get another.

I have watched the show tanked on animal planet. How do they put the fish in with out cycling the tanks. I always wondered that.

The cat loves it. Lol

This may sound funny. But you can get what I call a time out bubble. Its a gerbil ball. A big plastic clear ball. With lots of holes. But that in the with the fish in it. It works they settle down when they get out. Don't know why but they do.

I have lion puffer and trigger. Zero problems. Make sure you have lots of room lots of places to hide and keep a eye out for any signs of aggression. Also know that there is a possibility they won't get along one day and one may have to find a new home...... Just like peope. ;)

Maybe its just me. But I would not call them aggressive at all. I would not call just eating aggressive. They are just trying to eat. They can only eat what you let them by putting that fish in the tank. If a lionfish picked at something or was out top sting something I would call that...
