yes, i took the advice to partition the tank (my last post) but the babies still get through. about a third of the babies are with the new pair and the rest with their parents i just found it interesting that the new pair male adopted the other pairs babies

i never thought about it till i saw the eggs! now i have multiple aquariums and angelfish groups working out getting pairs. i have 15 that survived to look like angelfish! sort of... mostly. the local pet store will trade me some so that everyone is not related when they reach 6 weeks...

yes, chinese algae eater. i couldnt see the yellow/orange streak. they grow up to be pretty big. i got one from petsmart, they were just listed as algae eaters. it is huge now. i dont know what to do with him, and hes hard to catch! im emptying the tank he is in, the brace on top broke.
