- Ok, currently I have a 5×2×2 opti white tank in my living room. It is soon to be hi tech, its (almost) heavily planted with JBL plant soil, covered with JBL sand. I'm using fluval 3.0 planted light system, my co2 kit is being posted to me on Tuesday. I'm running a big canister filter with UV light and a 300w heater.
Inhabitants include
19 rummy nose tetras
3 black Venezuela corydoras
10 cherry barbs
3 apple snails
1 snowball pleco
5 rainbow fish (red, blue and bosemani)
I'm getting 7 more rainbow, a mix of red, blue and bosemani and when I grow them out I'll keep the one type I like best.
At the moment I've only really got easy plants but I plan on more difficult one when I get the co2 up and running. I've the light turned down till then to prevent massive algae growth.
This is my first foray into a planted tank and I'm super excited about it, being keeping big cichlids and African cichlids for years, it's nice to have a tank that doesn't resemble a jail cell lol.
