No dead fish this am. I will do another pwc today after I test. This afternoon I'll buy a new heater.

So I did a pwc, about half. While cleaning the tank I took out the driftwood and felt shocks. The heater was broken. I have no idea when it broke because it was behind a large plant. I'm thinking that would certainly hurt or kill the fish. Now lets see what happens.

The tank is 29 gallons. I will do as you suggest and see what the nitrates are on my tap water.

I use API Master Test Kit. The nitrates in all 3 of my tanks has always been around 80ppm. I find it difficult to tell the differences in some of the colors so I always use the higher number if I'm not sure.

This morning when I get up my bn pleco is dead. 4 days ago 2 bloodfins died and a few days before a dwarf gourami died. My ph is 7.8, ammonia is 0 ppm, nitrite is 0 ppm, nitrate 80 ppm. These are what the tank has always been since I added fish almost a year ago. None of the fish "look"...

By chance do you know if I can keep ramshorn snails and mts in the same tank? I have received the ramshorns and I put them in the tank with the mts. Then of course it dawns on me that they may not co-exist. The red ramshorns are so pretty and the mts are just ordinary. Anyway, any thoughts?

I now want to add Assassins to my 55 gallon tank. In that tank I have 4 angelfish 2 rainbows, 4 rosy barbs, 5 boesemani, 3 cory cats and 2 bn. Do you think any of these fish kill/eat the assassins? I do have a 10 gallon snail breeding tank with mts and am expecting some ramshorns today.

I would like 15 to 20 assassin snails. :thanks:
