- My Tanks
- I have always had tanks beginning with a plastic turtle bowl complete with palm tree and 3 turtles when I was 5. Once had a 55 salt water mixed tank with lionfish. Just got back into tanks when my granddaughter found a little fingernail sized turtle in a pool strainer...have had Rosie about 3 months now and she is 1.5" long. She's in a 10 g reptile tank..just bought her a floating raft so I can keep the water level up for her filter and heater. Will move her to a 29 eventually. Meanwhile added another 10 to the bottom of the stand. One Oscar died and was buried within 2 weeks....never knew why but I think he went blind in the end..so sad..named him Hero and buried him in a sealed plastic Apple mouse box under my rosemary bush. Got another Tiger Oscar who was very shy..so got a big pleco to keep him company ....then the Oscar got ick....I was devastated. We travel a lot to UNC games in Chapel Hill so my neighbor who is also an animal lover helps out. I finally got the Quik Cure treatmen
