No, It was a liquid test. I'll go back some time soon to get an ammonia test kit as well. It's only been set up for a few day and I put fish in it and didn't cycle it because I didn't know and three of my fish died.
I went to my local fish store today and I talked to the guy at the store about water test kits. He told me that he recommends doing PH and Nitrite tests as these are the two most causes of death in fish. I bought the two kits and my PH was 7 and my nitrites were .8. I did a 50% water change...
I'm not sure what type of crab. I saw some on my pet store's website and was thinking about it. The crab I was looking at was an aquatic crab so it should do okay in a tank. I might get the guppies and neon tetras. Thanks for the advice about the minors!

Well I know that the fish that have died are because I didn't cycle the tank and they went into shock. (I found out about cycling after I put them in and two of them died.) It is a 10 gal. tank and I've had it setup for 3 days.
