    Aqua C Remora Skimmer Question

I have an 18 gallon nano-reef system set-up and recently purchased a new Aqua C Remora skimmer. The only issue I have is that it is constantly producing "wet foam" which fills the collection cup...sometimes in a matter of minutes...with water from the tank. I have had it installed for about 2...

Pics of my 75 after 1 year

Great link JM. I've been trying to sort fact from fiction and even identify what type of worms I actually have in my tank. I guess a good rule of thumb is that any worm that grows over 12 inches in length is trouble. it didn't get that way from not eating other things...so it may be best to...

    Flatworms?

I read somewhere that they are known to generally not have a long life-span. I'm sure poor water conditions could hasten their demise as well. I had one for approximateley 4 months before it "disappeared". It happily munched on my flat worms in my nano reef tank. It trimmed the flat worm...

    Flatworms?

I had the same problem in my nano reef. Flatworms covered everything. One natural predator you may look into is the Blue Velvet Nudibranch

    blennies hate each other?

I recently had a similar experience. I have had a Bi-color Blenny for about one year and recently purchased a Molly-Miller Blenny to add to the tank. The minute they saw each other it was on....chasing/fighting ensued and they had to be separated.

    new mandarin diet

I would have to agree with the above post. My mandarine eats a combination of mysis and brine shrimp. I have found the key was to turn of my power heads and filters while I am feeding so that the Mandarine doesn't have to chase after any food...mine likes to "browse" around on the bottom...

    Adopted little friend

Beautiful Mandarin. I was always told they were difficult to keep unless you had copious amounts of LR to support they're natural food source. I don't mean to hijack the thread but I have had my Mandarin for about 6 months in a 30 gallon SW tank with about 30 lbs of LR and he too seems to be...

    Stocking suggestions for 10 gallon?

I started a 10 gallon nano reef aquarium myself a few months ago. I chose a firefish, bi-color blennie and a yellow clown gobie as it's inhabitants. All are doing great so far and have great personalities.

    Feeding Live Brine Shrimp

I have recently read several places that adult Brine Shrimp have little nutritional value once they are in adult form. So the question I have is several fold: I currently feed my fish (in a FOWLR tank) a mixture of a cube of Spirulina enriched Brine Shrimp, a cube of Mysis Shrimp, and a cube of...
