- I just set up a five gallon tank with a blue, male betta fish, whom I have named Eugene. He's still adjusting to his new home but seems like a curious little fish. I have owned bettas in that past. I tested my skills with some freshwater dwarf pufferfish last year but was not too successful in my endeavors. They were cute little guys but I have found that I'm quite happy with bettas. They are the perfect fish IMO.
