+1 on the New Life Spectrum. Very good food, perfect blend for vegetarian fish too without worrying about bloat. Only negative thing I'd say is it leaves brown residue everywhere.

You're feeding them enough, goldfish create a lot of waste, so you don't want to feed anymore maybe a bit less. In my experience, goldfish will grow with their tank. If the tank is rather small they tend to stay the same size.

If those are the only 2 fish in there you'll be fine. Any light will be sufficient for fish only

Changing how much air enters the Skimmer will not help.
