I am running gfo already in the reccomend amount now. Although I have been using it in a media bag for the last couple years. Just seems like a small amount to put in the reactor. Hanna checker for PO4 usually reads 0. I would be interested to pick up the phosphor test to get a reading under .1

Hooking up a reactor my 29 gallon tank. The amounts of carbon and gfo recommended by BRS is 3 tbs and 7 tbs respectively. Will I encounter problems using such a small amount? Can I double or triple the amount and replace less frequently? Advice? Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

I have the tunze osmolator. I shut it off for water changes. It always kicks on and pumps ro water when turned back on. I don't think it's avoidable. I just know where my tank's water running level is in relation to the optical sensor. I can give more info if needed. Sorry if I am not clear enough.

I don't have a large tank and I am using a 37 gallon rubbermaid tub. Seems sturdy. However, i just installed my ro/di system today so I don't know how it will work long term. Looks good so far.

I purchased this unit from Bulk Reef Supply not very long ago. I am completely satisfied with it. I think it is very well built and I like having the psi and tds meters on the filter. I did have problems with the chrome faucet adapter. I didn't mind having to buy a separate adapter from Home...

A clean up crew will help remove algae from your aquarium, but I personally would try and figure out the source. Check your water parameters and see if somethings amiss. IME some sort of clean up crew will be a sort term answer.

I heard back from InTank today. Apparently the second chamber on both biocubes are exactly the same. I was wrong before. The only difference is the lighting bracket on the hqi model. Btw, they got back me to quickly and seem very helpful.
