    Oh-No Fin rot?!

No my intake isn't covered, I'll cut some nylons and cover it with that. When I first got him him his fins were a bit tattered and when they grew back they were wavy, so when you say curling to you mean actually curling? or more like shriveled? I think I know what you mean but I am also prone...

    Oh-No Fin rot?!

This is the best I could get. It actually looks a little worse than it did this morning. I'm going to just go with lots of clean water as long as he is acting normal.

    Oh-No Fin rot?!

Water changes I can do, but how long should I give it before I try something else, if need be. I don't want to jump in a give medicine he doesn't need but I don't want to wait too long if he needs them either. I understand it's probably one of those just watch and see things and you need a pic...

    Oh-No Fin rot?!

No there's no black around the edges, some of the frayed looking ends are kind of white and fuzzy looking he is acting normal and eating fine. I changed and checked the water, ph-7.8, ammonia-0, nitrite-0, nitrate-between 20&40(a little more red than 20 not as dark as 40) but I think my heater...

    Oh-No Fin rot?!

I believe poor Felony (my male betta) has fin rot his fins are ragged looking and a little fuzzy on the ends if I had any idea where my camera was I would take a picture. I have never had to deal with fin rot before and I just noticed it a few minutes ago. I usually check my water (API liquid...

    I gotta down grade

I have read that clown loaches can get up to 16" but they take a long time to get there. Personally I have never seen one bigger than 4". I am probally over reacting I have just had so many visions of my tank hitting the ground...freaks me out a little.

    I gotta down grade

The last few weeks have been some what bitter sweet for me, we have brought my father in law home from the hospital..finally.. but in the process I had to clean out the extra room which is where I kept all my extra fish stuff (and I had a lot of it..lol) and I had to tear down my 75 gallon...

    upside down fish!!

Sorry to hear about your loss, it really sucks to loose a fish especially when you work so hard to prevent such a thing. Your future fish will benefit from this experience though your far more aware of the signs of danger and you'll be surprised at how more confident you feel about treating and...
