    Oranda

Can anyone tell me if the Red cap has eggs? She doesn't look sick like the black one did before (who has no recovered YAY) Also the black one has one eye that's completely covered by the wen. Is this treatable?

    Oranda staying in corner

Well I today she stopped flipping over and going belly up. Mostly not even tilting forward. Still not feeding her. I am cautiously optimistic!

    Oranda staying in corner

Thank you! Other than the swelling and going belly up now and then and pale poop there aren't other symptoms yet. I put her in quarantine last night. Water is a bit warmer and im going to start the epsom salt which i see everyone suggests. So disappointing though because i thought she was big...

    Oranda staying in corner

So now it seems she is very bloated. Often she is nose down. Still haven't fed them anything but peas since Wednesday. What can i do if peas dont work? She still moves around a lot

    Oranda staying in corner

Yes she doesn't have any signs of disease or injury. That area probably is a quiet corner as it's furthest away from the filter and she is sort of hiding behind the plant there. Since Im not sure if its eggs or bloat anymore i have been feeding them peas only for 2 days and perhaps I should...

    Oranda staying in corner

Hi. I have a large Oranda that keeps returning to the same corner after doing some rounds in the tank. She is quite round so i thought it may be eggs. She is a bit clumsy due to her size but while she is in the corner she just sort of hangs there, not tilted at a strange angle at all. She eats...

    Live plants

OK thanks. I was told Baby tears would be good since they are going to lay eggs sometime. Needless to say they have been entertaining themselves all day ripping it apart

    Live plants

Hi. Can anyone suggest which live plants would be OK for Orandas? I don't want to add something that they would rip apart easily or eat. Thanks!

    Time Out?

I have a large black Oranda with eggs. Since yesterday she has kind of been staying in the corner mostly. She comes out and does a few laps and eats well but then returns to her corner. She is swimming fine for a fish full of eggs. The water levels are fine and she is the only one that does this

Hi All. We are relatively new to fish keeping. We seem to have figured out our tank maintenance but still figuring out the fish themselves. We have 4 Oranda fish...1 large black, 1 large red cap and two blue. We are sure 3 are female and one not sure. Hopefully we can learn a bit more from...
