- Am currently in the process of setting up a new cichlid tank. Getting my ducks in a row. Have had cichlids in the past, but that was over 15 years ago, and I want to be much smarter this time around. Had an oscar and 2 huge pacus for about 5 years before they died. (Ex-husband added a diseased fish to tank). Starting again with a 60 gallon tank, and want an oscar and a blood parrot. Planning for a sandy bottom, natural looking decor.
