So after a long battle with algae... I gave up. I completely tore the tank down and restarted it last night. Tell me what ya think? Also i have one question! How do you clean sand?

Il look into the bulbs suggested, i had originally just put what i had laying around the house in the hood.

So rivercats do you think i could hook up a co2 system to help? And i just have these for bulbs..

I dont yet because ive only got like the normal amount of algae as i would anyother tank. I thought that if you have more plants its harder for algae to grow?

This was after a water change and cleaning excuse the water quality. I have them on a automatic timer for 10 hours a day

Well i upgraded the hood and installed my own lighting... It was originally a small cfl bulb now its two flourescent bulbs.

Yupp sorry i meant to include that it was my nano 2.5 !

About a month or so... The algae isnt bad to be honest, all i have to do is clean up the sides of the tanks and thats about it. I have 12+ plants in there competing with the algae and a single fry that munches on it all day.

Would i be able to use both seachem flourish and leaf zone together?
