If you had 11 Cardinals in a 7 gallon and they lived 2 years, I'd say you did good. Maybe you should get more if you like them. But instead of 11, maybe 6 or 7.

I cut up some fresh zucchini into tiny pieces, but the little feeders(about 1 1/2") could not eat it. They would keep spitting it out like it never got soft enough. Do I cook or boil it first, or what am I doing wrong?

Thanks Blueiz and jsoong. It's not bad yet, so I think I'll skip the salt dip. I put a heater in the tank and am trying to get it to 78-80 deg. And add the salt in the morning.

I read the "If you think your fish have ick", but still a little confused. I'd rather do heat or salt than meds, but can a Goldfish tank be raised to 86F or more? If using salt is it better to salt the whole tank or give each fish a salt bath or dip in a seperate tank? There are 6 small feeder...

That's how I did it. Started with 4 White Clouds and changed 30% of water every 2 or 3 days. After it cycled I added a few fish every week. The Rasboras were added a month after the tank had fully cycled.

Yesterday I bought 7 Harlequin Rasboras. The tank now has 7 White Clouds, 2 Skunk Corys, 3 Albino Cories, and the Rasboras. Filtration is AC 50 HOB and AC 20 powerhead with quick filter attachment. Is this near overstocking or still a fairly light bioload?

I thought the pool comets had the long tail. The high dollar "pool comet" I have has the short tail. And 5 out of 6 of the 13 cent feeders have the long tail. What is the difference between the two? Which is which??
