    Feather duster lost his head

I put it in again, don't know why, and fed the rest of the dusters. He stayed in and fully extended. Then the next time he looked he had retracted back into the tube, crown and all... Very confused. Like I said never had a situation like this before

    Feather duster lost his head

Possibly... He was laying on it for the last day or so... Is it normal to release like in the picture?

    Feather duster lost his head

I've heard of dusters losing their heads but never personally have bad it happen. Other the whole double feather head and what looks to be about half an inch of the worm. Is that what it normally looks like? I picked it up and put it back in the tube for **** n giggles but watched it get pushed...

    Any ideas what this is?

Just googled pseudocorynactis and that's exactly what I've got! He's been in the tank for almost 2 years and is in a crevasse where he can't sting others so ill just leave him be. Thanks!

    Any ideas what this is?

This thing in the center of the photo right above the polyps is what I'm wondering about. It came as a hitchhiker on the live rock. I've always just assumed it was a duster but it grabbed ahold of a couple mysis shrimp recently and it forced me to take a closer look. It's got these yellow bumps...

    No clue what this is...

I think it came in on the live rock because I've never had a snail that big in the tank. I do want to get one though

    No clue what this is...

Got a new piece of live rock the other day and just found this laying next to it on the sand. Never seen anything like it... Anyone know what it is or if it's safe for my seahorse tank. It's just a solid disk shell, haven't seen anything moving out of it, or even an opening for that matter

What kind of coral do i have?

I recently bought a frag from this coral at my LFS but there was no "reef" guy there to tell me what exactly it is. It's definitely some type of sps coral and my best guess is it's a type of Pectinia or lettuce coral but still not sure... Anyone else seen a coral like this before?

What kind of coral is this?

My LFS just thinned out their display tank, selling off a lot of frags. I got a frag from this, what I think to be some type of green montipora but there was no "reef guy" working at the time to tell me exactly what it is. I've never seen a montipora with these "towers" before...

    Something ate my electric scallop

I believe them to be asterina starfish. They are white

    Something ate my electric scallop

That's why I'm confused about the whole thing. I never saw anything eating it. I fed the scallop yesterday and it was completely fine. This morning the shell was open and empty. I really don't think it was sick or anything. I know starfish have the power to open and clean a scallop quickly but...

    Something ate my electric scallop

I woke this morning to find something ate my electric flame scallop in my seahorse tank. I fed him yesterday and he was completely fine. As you can see this is not the case now. When I first setup the tank I got a piece of live rock that was infested with tiny starfish. I have been removing them...

    HA, no idea..

It looks to me like some type of sea hare. Hard to tell from the pics but a very common live rock hitchhiker.
