This rock is pure white and was pretty clean when I got it I just washed it off to be safe the man I bought it from said it had been sitting in his basement for years....why is it a gamble?

I recently bought some used rock from CL. This rock has not been used in years so I washed it off and put it in an extra tank I have with just RO water. I have a filter going on the tank and am just wondering how long I should let it soak and if I should actually add salt to water or just keep...

Is anyone using this skimmer or have used it in the past? There is one on CL for $220 new in box and was wondering if it is a good skimmer new it is around $300 I think. Thanks...

Ok will do thanks...I only feed every other day now and only a small amount because I only have two fish right now. It seems every time I get rid of one type of algae outbreak I get another one. My tank is only 5 months old, will it eventually level out ir will I always have to deal with outbreaks?

Ok thanks for the info...they don't really bother me just curious and making sure I don't need to remove them. I was worried if I let them go they would take over tank i'll just see how they do. Thanks again.....

I've tried but they are small and the more I zoom the blurrier the pic. They do have a shape like a pineapple so makes sense. I bet there are 30 of them. Will they take over and what causes them to die off. My tank is 4 months old.

I googled those worms and that isn't what these are they aren't coiled looking these come straight off the rocks and look cylindrical with like fuzzy hairs and a fan head

I have these all over rocks and powerheads don't know what they are. They are small white cylinder looking things that are fuzzy and have almost what looks like a feather duster head in them pic is hard to see.
