That looks awesome. I just found one of these tanks at a yard sale of all places, in new condition. I've been thinking I might venture into a planted tank with it, which is scary new territory. Now I have some reference material :)

If I had my own place, with a basement, I would have tanks everywhere. They've calmed down for the moment, but if I do happen to get babies, I do have a couple of local lfs that would take them. I don't have the space for another tank big enough for pearls. :)

I got my first pair of gouramis (pearl) about five weeks ago, and it took over two weeks for the female to really get comfortable, three weeks for the male. Now they just cruise around all over.

I just found a non-chain lfs somewhat close by that I've never heard about. Place looked nice, lots of different fish. But when I asked the lady about tetras and schooling, she said tetras are just fine in pairs. I know I'm new to this, but I thought tetras as schooling fish was newbie 101?
