I would never use it long term but for a quick fix its great. Saved me quite a bit in salt mixes for continued large water changes to get the trates in control. Havent used it any after perams were in check. Never get over 5-10 ppm now

Deffinatly a duncan. With the right lights and moderate water flow they grow pretty quick. It will grow new heads kinda quickly. I have a 6 headed one right now in a 30 gal. I will be fragging it soon and share with another of my salty tanks

I tried sugar dosing to drop nitrates and phosphates. It works! I had extremly high nitrates after moving and resetting 2 tanks I bought used. I am talking off the chart nitrates. 3 days of sugar dosing got them down to around 40ppm then I did a big water change and took it to about 10 ppm. One...

I ran out of Prime need to do water changes and top offs. The local store I use is closed on Monday and Tuesday. I forgot to go Sunday because of family issues and watching the NFL Playoffs. :banghead: Now I have to wait to do water changes and top offs or drive across town to get my Prime. :(...

Yes it is! Once its stabil for a while the hicups go away then you just have your water changes and enjoying your fish with out the stress of the cycle

Cool! Now that nitrites are showing it shouldnt take too long to balance out with nitrates and you will be fully cycled. Just a heads up tho expect hicups during the first few months where you will randomly get ammonia or show nitrites but they are usualy solved with a water change after your...
