If you use cooking oil in a spray bottle And spray it on your back drop/background pic it will stick and be much more vivid. Just a friendly suggestions/ tip. Great looking tank, I like the drift wood a lot its shaped nicely. The lights look cool too.
A week ago I bought a peacock eel from the LFS. I was sure to get the biggest one avalible, so I'm sure he was eating good and healthy. The first night he was in the tank he hid, and I didn't see him all day. The next morning he was out swimming in the front of the tank, I figured he was hungry...

That's cool. They are a very interesting fish, definatly don't count out the blue he is a great addition to any relaxed tank. Seeing his colors change is amazing too. Good luck on your badis journey!!!
I've got a viper shrimp and a bamboo shrimp. They are both filter shrimp and I use crushed algae flakes and micro fish food to feed them. I use a turkey baster to feed them, I just mix the algae with some water in a cup, suck it up in the baster and gently squirt it at them( i call it a shrimp...
Also keep in mind the blue badis is much larger than the scarlet. But they are both shy fish, that's why I have them together. The blue badis is also known as a chamelon fish because it will change color depending on its mood. I love my blue bad is, he's very cool and has quite a personality...
I have a 55 gal tank. For cleaning I bought 2 containers from Walmart that were 25 gal each. This way I can do 50% or 25% water changes when needed, clean water in 1 bucket and dirty in the other. Also I know I'm putting in the same amount I took out rather than topping my tank off with cups...
I have four sparkling gouramis and I'd like to add a scarlet badis. Its a 15 gallon tank well planted and I'll add a couple more caves for sure. I've read the both fish have most of the same needs and the same behavior. Looking for anybody with experience with both these fish willing to lend...
OK. Thank you for the advice. So I should house these guys in a different tank. What would be your recommendations to housing them in with other gouramis? Such as a pearl or gold?? They are both female and I haven't seen any fighting from them ever. The other fish in the tank would be cherry...
Yea I read all that off Google search too, I was hoping for someone with experience. The internet will tell you whatever you wanna hear, I'm looking for people with experience with these fish. But thanks for your effort.
Yes I have 55 and a 36 gal tank. My Angels are all just fine, little, active and always HUNGRY!! Its hard not to feed there little faces every time I walk by the tank and there starring at me. But good to know.
