I think I see what Smitty is talking about. Here is a very quick very bad drawing but I think it will work. What I see is when your drive wheel is in this position the connecting arm will hit against the housing of your gear box (the red lines). so you may have to widen the housing at this point...
Thanks guys I have done a lot of research on both box and cowfish but I was hoping to get first hand opinion from some one that has kept a few. kms907 have you ever housed them in a reef tank?
Thank you Mitchell0605 for your help as well.

Like the title said I am thinking about a thornback cowfish (lactoria fornasini) also called a hovercraft boxfish. All this would happen years from now but I want to start making plans now. have any of you had experience with this fish?
Thanks Wayne
Thank you again Jsoong. When you talk of a frame you mean a brace from the top of the tank to the bottom at the 45° joints as well or do you think the top frame I have pland to go all the way around could be beefed up? I would like to keep the front of the tank as clean as I can. But I agree...

Hey guys and gals.

No coral problems right now I just have a few mushrooms, but I am looking to get into coral. Thank you for all your experience guys please keep it comming. I read my last post and the sentence "obviously I can lower the lights." sounded to me to come off a little snobby but that was not my...
It's an old set up, the lights are at about 12 inches above water now. Works ok for mushroomes but I want to get into sps corals among others and I am not sure I have enough intensity. Obviously I could lower the lights.
Thank you Wayne
I am looking into a build like this and I will be watching very closely to what you do. Would you be able to list all the products you use and put up lots of pictures? I would be very grateful.
