If u want med to high you would need the reef lights most likely the double bright is for med light plants with what reasurch I found. I was going to purchase double brights but went with t5 very happy with my choice.

If the air pump is on an ug filter no it wont interfere it will still produce the bb. It also will not interfere with the cycle if not because the good bacteria you want at the end of a cycle is only going to do any good if it is formed in the filter bio media. so in short it will not do...

I have both and would never by anything but the aqua clear. the fluval is a little noisy even though its supposed to run the same motor. I have 2 fluvals and 2 aqua clear fifty's. my 29 gallon has a 50 on it and it has never had any problems. the fluval seems to be less efficient than my aquaclear

I have aquaclear on my 29 i run a 50 and have never had any problems with a fully stocked tank.

I just purchased a 55 and need help deciding what to plant and where in the tank to plant it. I am probably going to be putting rainbow fish in it. Right now the tank is cycling with gold fish in it to cycle faster.
