Can anyone help identify this. Like an upside down snail with legs poking out. Often leaves a web like string hanging out. If it senses you near the trap door shuts !!! It doesn't seem attached and more like its become part of Montipora.

After a bit more research today I think they may possibly be 'truncates' or 'sea squirts' ?? Pretty hard to tell but looks similar at this link http://www.earthlife.net/inverts/ascidiacea.html Anyone really know ?
