I am starting a 20l soon and I am planning on heavily plantin it. I have decided to go DIY substrate and have already picked a bag of MGOPS, peat, and some sand. I was thinking going a thin .1- .25 inch layer of peat, then the whole bag of dirt then cap with sand. What do you guys think? Would...
I am in the exact same situation as ou right now. A couple females have eggs and my cherry barbs have been known to nibble at each other so I am nervous. I bought some java moss from my lfs. Hopefully that works out!
Not really any rule for shrimps. Just throw them all in there and hope you have a couple females willing to breed. I bought 10 juvenile RCS and couldn't sex them until recently, and now I have 7 pregnant females. LOL
So I just looked at the price difference and the mr aqua is cheaper by about $10. That is with shipping for the mr aqua an without shipping for the gla. I'm assuming the gla shipping will be ridiculous. Has anyone ordered a tank from gla online before? How much will I be expecting for shipping?

Denny's pet world is pretty good. I go there a lot. They have a pretty good selection of fresh, salt, and plants too. It's over by Kirkland area. Totem lake to be specific
I am wanting to buy a rimless because after watching countless videos of Ada tanks online, I have fallen in love, but spending the kind of money Ada expects me to spend will starve me for weeks. I will be eating algae along with my shrimp if I buy one. What are some other brands out there that...
Am going to purchase a green leaf 91b aquarium soon. It is a very long 12 gallon tank.

I was wondering what kinds of led lighting options I have. I have had experience with normal bulb lighting but would like to...
If you are going to go all out planted then I think it will be worth it. A dirt transition would not entry your wallet too heavily. It is just time consuming to sift through all that dirt... -.-
