BTW, if this was an infection, should I expect others in the tank to possibly get it as well? Should I do anything special to prevent this again?

well... he's gone now. :-( One other cichlid now has pop eye!! Could this be stress related from me adding the tank divider... or the salt.... or are there other things I should look for. One big happy, healthy family can sure go down hill fast! I am getting myself a QT tank for Christmas...

One of my African cichlids is attempting to swim, but he is head down and belly up. He can't seem to right himself at all. He was fine last night. I see no other problems on him. Possibly he is a bit bloated, but it is hard to tell looking at him upside down! The other fish in the tank...

I spent most of the remainder of the evening last night viewing cichlids from Africa. Have not determined for sure which they are, but sucessfully uploaded pictures of them. Check my gallery. Any input? The yellow & orange striped one is the bigun'. He's as big as my hand.
